How to Make Your High School Reunion Unforgettable

The magic is in the memories... and the stickers.
There’s just something about seeing your high school friends again — and laughing like no time has passed.

Backstory: I went to high school in Medellín, Colombia, at an all-girls Catholic school called San José de las Vegas. It was strict. Uniforms, rules, chaos — the full package.
We were the Arts group. We stuck together from 8th grade on — painting, ceramics, wood carving, design. But the real masterpiece was our friendship. From the top of the honor roll to the queen of skipping class, we had each other’s backs. We partied together, shared boyfriends, made a “blacklist” of the popular boys (don’t ask), and misbehaved in solidarity. If one of us had to stay after school, the whole class stayed.
We also smuggled goods. Cookies, chocolates, brownies, clothes — if it could be sold, we sold it. I had a cookie business running via passed notes in class: order, payment, and delivery. We were a little underground flea market in plaid skirts.
Fast forward to this party: The reunion was happening — and the plans kept growing louder, bigger, wilder. Naturally, I slid back into my old role: logistics committee. (Chaos management is in my DNA.)
We rented a venue. We had surprises. And I had a plan.
Two things I had to bring back:
• The cookies (from the same friend — still delicious)
But not just any stickers — face stickers.
I pulled out our yearbook, cropped every single face, and turned each classmate into a tiny sticker celeb. I slapped those beauties onto the cookie bags.

No one saw it coming. When they walked in and found “the cookies” — with their face on the label — chaos erupted. Screaming. Laughing. Disbelief. And then, like always…
We danced.
We sang.
We may have had one (or five) shots too many.
We even hired mariachis. (Because subtlety has never been our thing.)
It was the perfect kind of reunion: ridiculous, warm, chaotic, and unforgettable.

Yes — I also made stickers of our senior year logo, and those little guys ended up everywhere: purses, phones, water bottles, body parts, hats… maybe even a bathroom mirror. Not naming names.
There’s just something about personalized stickers. I don’t know what it is — but it’s magic. I’ve seen it work on little kids and full-grown adults. When people see their face as a sticker, they light up. Like they’re famous for two seconds. Weird? Yes. Fun? Absolutely. It works.
Every time we get together, we turn into a bunch of monkeys — laughing, screaming, jumping, telling the same jokes. It’s like we never grew up. Same chaos. Same inside jokes. Same bond.
Total chaos — that’s us, together.
