This holiday season is all about nostalgia and coziness. We’re going back to basics — embracing earthy materials, natural textures, and handmade pieces that make your home feel personal and magical. Wood, clay, stone, vintage finishes, and soft lighting are all having a moment, and honestly… sign me up. Think comfort, nostalgia, and a sprinkle of old-fashioned holiday magic. Less mass-produced stuff, more unique small-batch accents. Less “perfect,” more personal.

There’s something special about decorating with pieces that were shaped by real hands. Every glaze drip has character, every brushstroke has intention, and every tiny imperfection makes the piece yours. That’s exactly why my Merry Minishave become my biggest obsession — tiny ceramic worlds glazed, fired, and created with so much love they’re perfectly imperfect.

Why Handmade Decor Feels Magical

Natural materials = timeless charm

Clay, wood, wool, woven fibers, and other earth-friendly textures bring warmth and authenticity to your holiday home. Unlike mass-produced décor, these pieces connect you to the craft — and to the artist behind it.

Unique pieces for unique homes

Handmade pottery and small-batch ceramics mean no two pieces are ever the same. You’re not buying a copy — you’re buying an original story shaped in clay.

Light + glow = instant holiday magic

From tiny LED-lit houses to candle holders that cast soft shadows, these small glows turn any corner into a cozy winter nook.

Small batch = big love

Every Merry Mini is made one at a time — glazed carefully, fired twice, with messy hands in between. Slow? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

Handmade Is Thoughtful

The magic of handmade decor isn’t just in the glow or the tiny details — it’s in the thought behind it. A handmade piece says,“This was made for someone special,” or,“This belongs in a home that values warmth and personality.”

It means supporting small artists, local makers, and people who pour love into every piece… you can practically smell it on the clay.

I started making Merry Minis months ago because I wanted to perfect the idea I had in my head. After many failed attempts, different clays, glazes, shapes, and experiments, I finally felt comfortable sharing them. They’re built from scratch — not AI-generated — just my messy hands, too many tools, and a very real creative journey. And I’m honored to be among so many talented artists working hard to share their work with the world.

My Process (aka: my messy, happy place)

First: music. My playlist goes from Juan Luis Guerra to Wilson Phillips without a single apology. When I’m in the studio, I’m in the zone — I forget I’m hungry, I forget to drink water, I forget I’m a responsible adult. I choose my clay for the day (sometimes mixing light and dark tones for dimension).

If it’s glazing day, I decide between earthy tones or cool winter shades, and sometimes I add melted-glass “frozen lakes” for that icy, glossy finish.

I love creating hollow pieces with cutouts so the tiny LED lights can glow from inside — it gives each piece personality and a warm, cozy heartbeat.

At the end… you get something timeless, charming, and full of soul.

Joy in the Little Things

Whether I’m shaping clay, experimenting with glaze, adding tiny LED lights, or designing printable holiday wine labels and Christmas cards, every piece is made to spark joy and warmth. Handmade holiday décor isn’t just trendy — it makes your home feel alive, cozy, and completely unique.

It’s like saying: “This was made for YOU.”

And if one of my Merry Minis or holiday printables brings even a drop of magic into your season… then that’s the best gift I could give.
